We love to keep in touch with our puppy parents to see how puppy is going and if there are any concerns and we especially love seeing pic’s of our puppies growing up.
We are also Members of ORIVET Genetic Testing. It is extremely important that people are aware that all our dogs undergo genetic testing before entering our breeding program.
We are Members of the AAPDB and fully audited breeders, undergoing yearly audits. We were introduced to breeding Groodles 16 years ago and were the second breeder in the country to breed Groodles. Rubyleigh is very passionate about breeding and has worked closely with the AAPDB, serving on the committee during changes in Parliamentary Legislation for welfare and better breeding practices.
Puppies are wormed every two weeks until twelve weeks old, then they are to be wormed monthly until one year old then Three monthly thereafter. These ‘all wormer’ preparations kill any worms that may be present in the intestines, including roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and hydatid tapeworm. You can purchase good all wormer syrup or tablets from your local vet or pet shop. Heartworm tablets may also be needed, you will have to get your vet’s advise if it is necessary for your area.
Your puppy will have had its first vaccination at six weeks of age for protection against diseases like Distemper, Hepatitis and Parvo Virus. Your puppy should have three vaccinations, one month apart, beginning at six weeks of age. You will then have to get your puppy a booster vaccination once a year thereafter to keep it protected.
